Capital Match provides intelligent and highly focused sources of fund-matching for high-growth-potential knowledge economy companies, principally graduates from the Catalyst Inc Springboard programme.
Capital Match operates by building extensive personal relationships with multiple sources of funding largely outside Northern Ireland. These are venture capitalists, funds, family offices, syndicates, investing groups and selected experienced individual investors.
Capital Match only works with battle-hardened, high growth potential, knowledge economy based companies in the North of Ireland. These are either Springboard graduates or suitable companies referred into Capital Match by trusted sources and who have passed a strict readiness test.
Once accepted into the process, the individual company funding journey is profiled and help provided to prepare the company for this. This includes setting up a data room and assisting the company to populate it, including a provision of standard document templates.
The actual matching process is personalised to the company. A small number of potentially well-aligned funding sources will be selected, agreed and personally approached.
By the nature of the relationships Capital Match holds and the relative infrequency of referrals it makes, these will almost certainly result in meetings with the funding source.
Capital Match will also provide individualised pitching training which will be strongly personalised to each funding source where an introduction is made.
Capital Match will attend some but not all meetings between companies and funding sources. It also gets feedback from these and reviews progress with the company to further tune the matching process for this company.
Ultimately it is always up to the companies and the funding sources to agree on a good match and finalise a deal. Capital Match can provide further input based on its extensive experience, but it does not provide advice.
Capital Match currently operates as part of Catalyst Inc and does not charge any fees in providing this service.
